HELP US SERVE HUMANITY

“We don’t just give shelter—we build homes. We don’t just serve meals—we nourish futures. At Saint Aloysius, we are growing hope, one child at a time.”

IMPACT

We don't measure our impact in days, but in transformed lifetimes. Every meal, every lesson, every safe night adds up to a future rewritten

EDUCATION

Education is the one gift that cannot be taken away—it is the foundation we build upon to turn today's vulnerable child into tomorrow's capable leader."

HEALTH CARE

Healthcare is the first step in healing a child's past and protecting their future—we nurture strong bodies so brave hearts and bright minds can thrive.

ORPHANAGE

An orphanage is not just a building—it is a chosen family, a safe harbor, and the first chapter in a story of resilience, love, and belonging.

Our Story: A Legacy of Love

St.Aloysius Children’s Development Center was born from a simple, powerful belief: every child deserves safety, love, and opportunity. Founded in 2008, our journey began when a small group of volunteers recognized the growing number of orphaned and vulnerable children in our community with nowhere to turn. What started as a humble feeding program in a rented room has grown into a sanctuary of hope—a place where over 30 children now find consistent care, education, and a place to call home.

WHAT DO WE DO?

About us!

Our Vision

A world where every child, regardless of their start in life, is empowered to thrive and contribute positively to society.

To provide holistic care—nutrition, education, healthcare, emotional support, and spiritual guidance—to orphaned and vulnerable children, nurturing them into confident, capable, and compassionate individuals.

HEALTH

We build health, not just treat sickness—nourishing bodies, healing hearts, and nurturing resilient futures for every child in our care.”

At Saint Aloysius, our health and wellness program is designed to build complete well-being from the inside out. We provide daily balanced nutrition to support physical growth, regular medical and dental check-ups to prevent illness, and dedicated emotional care through counseling and safe spaces. By combining preventative healthcare, mental support, and health education, we ensure each child is given the foundation to grow strong, heal fully, and thrive with confidence for years to come.

THE WATER PROJECT

“Clean Water, Brighter Futures – A Lifeline for Our Community”

Project Overview

This page is dedicated to our mission to build a sustainable, clean water source for Saint Aloysius Children’s Development Center and the surrounding community. Many children and families currently lack reliable access to safe drinking water, impacting health, hygiene, and daily life. Our goal is to drill a deep-bore water well equipped with a hand pump or solar-powered system, ensuring year-round access to clean, safe water.

Why This Well Matters

  • Health: Reduces waterborne diseases like cholera and typhoid.

  • Hygiene: Supports better sanitation and handwashing practices.

  • Education: Children, especially girls, spend less time fetching water and more time in school.

  • Sustainability: A community-owned resource that will serve for generations.

Fountain of health.

Yes, adoption from Saint Aloysius Children’s Development Center is possible, but it is a carefully guided legal process managed in full partnership with the Government of Uganda.

Guidelines & Process Overview:

  1. Legal Framework: All adoptions follow the Uganda Children Act and are processed through the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development (MGLSD). We are a certified partner for child welfare and resettlement.

  2. Eligibility: Prospective parents must meet criteria set by Ugandan law, including:

    • Being at least 25 years old and at least 21 years older than the child.

    • Undergoing a full assessment (home study) by a licensed social worker.

    • Providing proof of financial and emotional stability.

  3. Our Role: We prepare the child psychologically and legally, provide all necessary documentation, and liaise with government authorities to ensure the process is ethical, transparent, and in the child’s best interest.

    1. First Step: We encourage child sponsorship as a first and wonderful way to build a connection and support a child’s journey. For serious adoption inquiries, we provide detailed information packets and initial consultations.
